West Ealing Library to become a Community Managed Library
Ealing Community Voluntary Service (Ealing CVS) is delighted to announce they’ve been awarded the opportunity to take over West Ealing Library and run it as a Community Managed Library. It is evident that no one wanted any of the libraries in Ealing to close, but Ealing CVS can now assure local residents that they are committed to ensuring West Ealing Library continues to offer a library service. It will also, with the support of Ealing CVS, flourish as a community hub. This will mean the library will offer a wider range of services to local residents and one of these will include Ealing Volunteer Centre being based at West Ealing Library. This will provide residents with better accessibility to not just volunteering opportunities at the library, but a wide range of volunteering opportunities across the borough.
Ealing CVS will be holding Open Days over the next few months to both recruit volunteers for West Ealing Library and also provide an opportunity for local residents to find out more about Ealing CVS and their plans for the future. Ealing CVS will re-open West Ealing Library in the spring of this year.
If you would like to be told about open days at the library, or are interested in volunteering there once it re-opens, please email firstname.lastname@example.org
