26 April 2017

10am to 1pm

Location: Lido Centre, 63 Mattock Lane, W13 9LA

This practical workshop is aimed at anyone who engages and supports their service users.

There is an overwhelming amount of health information available online specifically on finding support for a person’s health needs whether it is a long term condition, flu or looking for an ongoing service to support needs.

There is a huge amount of information available for Ealing residents’ wellbeing and this workshop aims to help you navigate your way through some key web based information including:

  • How to search for information
  • Which websites to use
  • What information/website is available specifically in Ealing
  • Where to find information relevant to yourself and services users.

Many people find it a challenge looking for information online however as this is increasingly now only available via a website it is crucial that we know how to find it and support and share this with our client groups.

Did you know that many people give up after a few minutes if they are not able to find the information they need after 3 clicks of the mouse?

This workshop aims to prevent that and help you find the most relevant information quickly for the benefit of you and you service users

This workshop will specifically teach you how to search for information using the following websites:

  • CarePlace
  • Ealing CVS Self – Help directory
  • Ealing CCG - Healthy Ealing
  • LBE Adult Health and Social Care pages
  • NHS Choices
  • Other relevant Health and Wellbeing websites

You will also receive a FREE copy of the booklet that has been specifically developed to help people search for information.
